The Kravis at 25

Kravis-25-Anniversary-Logo-28Ref29.jpgThe Kravis Center’s 25th Anniversary Gala is a week from Saturday. But if you haven’t gotten your ticket yet, you’re very much out of luck.

The black tie event has been sold out for weeks. Chaired by the very notable Monika Preston and Kathryn Vecellio, we expect this will be one of the major see-and-be-seen evenings of this Season.

The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the “Night of Stars” and a dinner dance in the Gimelstob Ballroom. Hosted by Michael Feinstein, the bill includes performances by Alan Cumming, Patti Lupone, Neil Sedaka, Cameron Carpenter and the Kravis Center Pops. (We’re told there may be a scattering of tickets available for the performance; call the box office at 561-651-4320.)

Proceeds from the gala will continue the arts center’s outreach programs, which help expand the lives and minds of children through exposure to the arts. The Kravis is a not-for-profit performing arts center with a mission to present a diverse schedule of national and international artists and companies of the highest quality.

“I have been a supporter of the Kravis Center since its opening in 1992,” said Mrs. Preston. “One of the main reasons I have supported this cultural institution for so long is it promotes the arts as an experience for everyone in Palm Beach County. What the Kravis Center has been able to accomplish over the last 25 years is immeasurable.”

Thank you, Kravis, for all the memorable moments we’ve had in your burgundy velvet seats. Here’s to the next 25!
