Palm Beach + horses = polo, yes?
Usually… but not always. From Feb. 2-5, Deeridge Farms in Wellington will host the Palm Beach Masters CSI3*-W, a world-class show jumping event.
The primary focus will be on riders hoping to qualify for the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Finals in March, but there will be additional classes for both junior and amateur riders as well. We imagine the Masters, set for the second straight year on Deeridge’s 300 acres, will be spectacular.
“We completely re-did our grass field and the drainage system with the idea being that if we were to get another 4 inches of rain, like we did last year the night before the competition, we would still be able to use the grass ring,” said Charlie Jacobs, president of the Palm Beach Masters, alongside brother Louis. “We also expanded the all-weather footing arena so it’s almost double the size of what it was last year.”
VIP tables for six ($10,000) are available in the Taylor Harris Club, which features ringside dining, preferred parking and VIP access. General access on Feb 2-3 is complimentary; on the weekend, the charge is a nominal $20 per car for parking, with no additional tickets needed.
