Shakespeare’s Shrew (By the Sea)

Every year, we tell ourselves we’re going to see Shakespeare on the beach, and every year something happens and we miss it.

ShakespeareThis year, we vow it will be different. Because this year, Shakespeare by the Sea is doing an updated version of The Taming of the Shrew. We love Will’s original, and can’t wait to see how the troupe transforms it.

Take a short ride along the beachfront to the Seabreeze Amphitheatre in Jupiter’s Carlin Park for the open-air performances, scheduled this year for July 7-10 and July 14-17. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with showtime at 8. Bring a beach chair and a picnic, or graze the food trucks.

It’s a free event, though a $5 donation is suggested. For more information, visit the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival website or call 561-966-7099.
