Brushes with television greatness here on the island:
Venture capitalist and acerbic Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary (above, left) just wrapped an exhibit of his photographs at Arcature Fine Art, 318 Worth Avenue. Photos like Lifeguard, shot in 2013, ask us to look twice (or maybe three times) to make sense of the story… proof that Mr. Wonderful really does have a sense of humor. Sales from the “Irreconcilable Images” collection (read more about it here) will benefit the Perry J. Cohen Foundation.
Exit O’Leary, enter O’Hurley.
Actor John O’Hurley played the eccentric, silky-voiced J. Peterman on Seinfeld. He’s in Palm Beach for a double-header: On Sunday, March 20, he’ll present his one-man show, A Man With Standards, in The Colony’s Royal Room. The next day, he’ll serve as auctioneer as one of President John F. Kennedy’s golf clubs – a wedge, to be specific – is sold to the highest bidder. The club is on display at Golfino, 150 Worth Avenue, through Sunday, March 20. Proceeds from both events will go to the American Cancer Society.
